Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, attended the second session of the Ramadan Majlis organised by the Sharjah Press Club of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), on Wednesday night at Khorfakkan Amphitheater. The cultural session was given by Tunisian actor Dhaffer L'Abidine and Canadian actor Mena Massoud discussed the elements that would enhance cinematography and motion picture.

The guest actors discussed the elements that would enhance the continuity of dramatic and cinematic works across generations and contribute to achieving an imprint on art through creative works.

The two actors talked about their background experiences, stressing that the actor's path to fame is "pinks and roses" but requires significant effort in learning, preparation, perseverance, and dedication.

Dhaffer L'Abidine pointed to the importance of preparing the works the leaves a mark and not focus solely on commercial aspect, which may affect the quality of the work. However, despite the large number of works lacking quality, content, and elements, the bright side highlights many talents that can be developed and grow further.

The Canadian uprising star, Mena Massoud, explained that international works such as Aladdin, in which he starred Aladdin, give the world a picture of Arab works and literature that can spread on a bigger scale stressing the need for Arabs to strive for the international cinematic works.

Massoud pointed out the importance of choosing the appropriate works that suits the artist's ability.

He stressed the importance of modern digital platforms that display artworks and spread around the globe, pointing out that the global spread of Arab works doesn't need to be through international companies only, as there are works that have spread substantially and are produced by moderate companies.

At the end of the session, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi honored the participating speakers.

The session was attended by Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, Head of Suburbs and Villages Affairs; Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of SGMB; Alia Al Suwaidi, Director of SGMB; and Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Media Council.
