Terms & Conditions

• Applicant should meet the requirements of the category of membership registered therein.
• Applicant should be resident in the United Arab Emirates (Not applicable for the International membership).
• Applicant should be of good character and reputation, and not have been convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for a crime involving breach of honor or honesty, except in the case of his reinstatement.
• Applicant should abide by the laws of the press and media profession in the UAE.
• Applicant should abide by the professional Conventions and Charters of the press and media profession.
• Applicant should refrain from activities that contradict the political and social principles of the UAE.
• Applicant should commit to providing requested valid documents and paying the prescribed fees.
• The administration of Sharjah Press Club holds the right to withdraw the membership of those who breach the terms and conditions or in accordance with the public interest.
• In case of membership withdrawal or cancellation, the individual holds no right to claim any financial or judicial benefits of membership or other fees.
• Membership should not be considered as permanent, part time or official job, but should be a professional membership within a specified period and duration.
• Applicant should not use the name of Sharjah Press Club or its logo except within the limits of the approved responsibilities, and in all cases it should not be used for personal or commercial purposes.
• All members hold the right to withdraw their membership by presenting an official written address explaining the reasons within a period of seven days at least.
• The Membership fees paid will not be refundable.
