Sharjah Press Club

Ithmar is a Sharjah Press Club initiative that aims at enhancing media aptitudes and talents, as well as raising media awareness among the new generation, aged 10 to 17, through an interactive programme addressing the main pillars of journalism and media, in which the club collaborates with a group of experts and renowned media institutions.

The club launched the first version of the initiative in July of 2019, when it received 67 applications for participation, and 20 male and female students who met the criteria and passed the personal interviews were accepted.

Among the outputs of the initiative is the launch of Ithmaar school Clubs in schools and educational bodies participating in the first edition, to ensure the continuous development of media talents from young people and the continuity of learning and practice.
