The Sharjah Press Club (SPC) operates under the umbrella of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), established under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

Faculty members and students in Communication and Media colleges in the UAE are accepted for academic membership.
