Overview
The Sharjah Press Club (SPC) is part of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), which was established by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
SPC aims to improve continuous professional communication and knowledge development among press and media professionals, refine their skills and provide an opportunity to exchange experience, create active dialogue platforms, and maintain the demand and appeal for the press profession through its year-round services and initiatives.
SPC is keen to enhance its commitment to media and press ethics, as well as to fulfil its role in accordance with social and national values. It aims to inspire and motivate journalists and media professionals, and to promote a culture of excellence among them. SPC also attempts to improve the constructive interaction between journalists and media professionals, and government institutions, through the regular meetings it hosts.
